# PHP Vitals
> Free PHP performance benchmarks for WordPress hosts: run ~40 server-side tests, get a grade (A+–F), and compare results on a global leaderboard.

PHP Vitals is built by Webslice. Use the WordPress plugin or standalone PHP script to measure how fast your host runs PHP—the foundation of WordPress speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO, and GEO.

Important notes:
- Grades are relative to the global dataset and update as hosting performance improves worldwide.
- Sharing results to the public leaderboard is optional; local history can stay on your site.
- PHP speed underpins dynamic WordPress work (admin, carts, uncached pages)—caching alone cannot fix a slow host.
