It’s not long now until WordCamp Philippines 2026. This year’s event is being held in Iloilo City on August 28 to 29. We're excited to be there, and we’re doubly excited to share the news that we’ll also be presenting there.
Our very own Nathan Russ will be speaking on Day 2 of the event, talking about the role PHP plays in improving WordPress performance.
Nathan is the co-founder of Webslice (the developers of PHP Vitals).
He’s been building and experimenting with technology for longer than some of us have been alive. We’re looking forward to him sharing his PHP knowledge and experience with the WordPress community.
Come and watch Nathan’s talk to learn all about:
- The vital role that PHP performance plays in WordPress performance.
- See the evolution of PHP Vitals, from benchmarking to bespoke optimization.
- Insights drawn from 1000s of benchmarking tests on web hosts all across the world.
- Upskill yourself, and optimize PHP to get your websites running faster.
Since we launched PHP Vitals, developers around the world have been contributing granular data each time they test their websites. These results have helped build an increasingly thorough, and fully public, comparison of different hosts and servers.
We’ve found new ways to turn that benchmarking data into tailored recommendations for speeding up PHP (and WordPress) on your exact infrastructure.
The more you know about PHP, the better performance you get out of WordPress and the more efficient you can be as a developer.
Check out the WordCamp Philippines 2026 website to see the rest of the speakers presenting and to get tickets to the event.
And if you're going to be there, make sure to catch Nathan’s talk and come and say hello afterwards.
